It is official. Ryan Dungey has made the move over to KTM for next season and beyond. It seemed Dungey was always going to make a move after the turmoil the Suzuki factory team are going through at the moment. A video of Ryan Dungey on his new ride below.

AURORA, Ill. (October 3, 2011) – Feld Motor Sports(r) announced today that the Jeremy McGrath/Ricky Carmichael-inspired Hybrid Track design for the Monster Energy Cup has been finalized for the October 15 race at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium.

The collaboration between McGrath, the king of supercross, and Carmichael, the greatest rider of all time, has produced the world’s longest stadium racetrack, consisting of motocross and supercross obstacles. For the first-time ever at Sam Boyd Stadium, the track will be built into the south end zone seating area. Two-hundred-forty feet of the track will launch riders into the stands and catapult them back to the floor of the stadium. With a 100′ double set on the outside part of the track and a 200′ lane stacked with two-foot sand rollers, this is one of the most diverse race tracks ever assembled.

Below is a mid year compilation of dirtbike crashes and highlights from our riding to date this year.

The majority of the footage was filmed with GoPro Helmet Cameras.

Round 7 at Spring Creek AMA Motocross 2011 season saw one of the biggest dirtbike crashes, and luckiest escapes by Chad Reed.

On the first lap Chad Reed had just passed RV2 when he hit a little square edge approaching the upramp to a big double. The result was an essential high side at the top of the ramp, compounded with the massive amount of pre-load his bike had, which sent Chad Reed airborne and doing the running man. He was lucky enough to escape with just a bit of shock, as he landed on the side of the jump which was a steep downhill, saving Chad Reed from 2 broken legs and many more injuries. The video of the crash is an interesting watch though.

Rice-Eccles Stadium

Rice-Eccles Stadium hosts Monster Energy Supercross, but it's also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Olympics, and is home to the University of Utah football team.

But today the entire two wheeled motor sports world is focused on the premier off road racing series in the world, and the 'big' Supercross race here in Salt Lake City! Villopoto, Reed, Dungey, Stewart!

The Edward Jones Dome is home to the NFL's St. Louis Rams, but once again Supercross has invaded! In the Supercross class, Trey Canard had the best qualifying time today with a best lap of 47.517 seconds. Bubba had the 2nd best qualifying time with a 47.605 second lap time. Can Trey keep it up and win 2 Supercross races in a row?
